Welcome

to the studio

This is where the beauty of this weird world and the people in it are embraced as art.

I’m Jen, and I consider all I make here to be odd pieces of myself. I make far more than I put on this website, so if it makes it here, it’s a piece aligned with my creative vision.

Through artwork, I reflect on themes of worth, sustainability, inner strength, and the balance between shared identity and the celebration of uniqueness. I enjoy strangeness, and I celebrate that in my work, inviting a moment of reflection and curiosity.

I grew up with art all around me. My grandmother was a professional fine artist in Los Angeles, and I use her tools in my studio, allowing my memories of her odd ways to become part of my work. Without my early days in her studio, I highly doubt I would be making art today.

If you enjoy the beautiful and the unusual, you’re in good company. Welcome to my studio.

The Philosophy Behind

Spiderfish Studios

The philosophy here is simple: art affects the mind, and as the backdrop of our daily lives, it has the power to change how we see the world.

The art made here carries with it the lofty hope of creating a better world through imagery that connects us. Our similarities and differences are put on display, allowing us to reconsider how we choose to show up for each other.
