The Commission Process
It begins with an idea.
1. Explore My Work
Take a look through my portfolio, and keep in mind aspects of the work you are drawn to for your own custom piece.
2. Submit a Request
Submit the Art Commission Request Questionnaire below to get started.
I’ll follow up to schedule a brief video or phone consultation. (A consultation is not required, but is highly recommended.)
Once we agree to move forward, I’ll send a simple agreement to sign.
3. Deposit & Design
A 50% deposit is required to begin. I’ll create an initial concept or sketch for initial approval.
You’ll have three revision points during the overall process: at the start, halfway through, and before final varnish.
Creation Timeline: Depending on size and complexity, commissioned pieces typically take 1–8 weeks to complete. This includes time for painting, layering, drying, and sealing.
4. Final Payment & Delivery
Once the piece is complete and approved, the remaining balance is due.
Finally, your artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped to you.
