The Commission Process
It begins with an idea.
1. Explore My Work
Take a look through my portfolio, and keep in mind aspects of the work you are drawn to for your own custom piece.
2. Submit a Request
Submit the Art Commission Request Questionnaire below to get started. I will then follow up personally within 2 business days to schedule a brief video or phone consultation. (A consultation is not required, but is highly recommended.) Once we agree to move forward, I’ll send a simple agreement to sign.
3. Deposit & Design
A 50% deposit is required to begin. I’ll create an initial concept or sketch and send you an update. You’ll have three revision points during the overall process: at the start, halfway through, and before the final varnish.
4. Creation Timeline
Depending on size and complexity, commissioned pieces typically take 1–8 weeks to complete. This includes time for painting, layering, drying, and sealing.
5. Final Payment & Delivery
Once the piece is complete and approved, the remaining balance is due. And finally, your artwork will then be carefully packaged and shipped to you to enjoy!
