Welcome to my studio

I’m Jen, the Bay Area artist behind Spiderfish Studios, and I want to share my matcha latte–fueled creations with you in hopes of creating kinder, more inclusive spaces that take care of us.

Art has always been a part of my life, first inspired by my grandma, a professional fine artist who had a home studio in Los Angeles. Today, I still use her tools when I create, which connects a bit of her to each piece I make.

With a lens of curiosity and whimsy, I also use unique materials to explore themes of worth, sustainability, and inner strength. I’m also inspired by the balance between what we share in common and celebrating the differences that make us unique. With my work, I hope to invite reflection and create space for curiosity, kindness, and inclusivity.

I welcome you to this small corner of the internet that I’ve filled with my artwork, thoughts, and, in general, pieces of myself. I hope you find something here that brings you a sense of calm, joy, or whatever you need.

The Driving Philosophy Behind

Spiderfish Studios

It all boils down to this: What we see impacts what we think.

The good news is that there are ways we can choose what we surround ourselves with every day, and choosing well matters because visuals impact our daily thoughts, habits, and patterns.

We can curate what we see based on how we want to feel, what we want to be reminded of, and who we want to be through the art we choose to share our lives with.

In a day-to-day lifestyle that’s often fast, loud, and overwhelming, a thoughtfully chosen piece of art can create the kind of space that supports you every single day.

Art becomes the backdrop to our daily lives. It influences our thoughts, our mood, and our sense of well-being, whether we notice it or not. It’s not just about decorating a wall; it’s about intentionally choosing something inspiring and grounding to live with that reflects a piece of who you are.

Art can act as a window, a mirror, or a portal. It can help you see yourself more clearly or help you imagine who you’re becoming, all while setting the tone of the energy in your space.

Your home deserves pieces that reflect your story and elevate the way you feel.

Let’s find, or create, artwork that brings out the best in you and helps your space feel like the sanctuary it’s meant to be.
