My First San Francisco Gallery Exhibition: Far Out Gallery

I’m so excited to share that my latest work, Gracefully Disturbed, is now exhibiting at Far Out Gallery in San Francisco! This marks a big moment for me. Growing up, I was taken to the art museums in San Francisco and I would enjoy every moment of it. Now that I have been given space to show my art and contribute to the art conversation there, it feels incredible. It’s such an honor to have been welcomed into the art scene that I have grown up admiring.

The Piece

Gracefully Disturbed is a 36×24" acrylic painting I created during a time of challenge. The piece reflects a need to carve out space for calm during chaos. It’s layered, textural, and full of movement. Like much of my work, it explores contrast.

Cascading drips move down the large canvas, reflecting on a grand scale the challenge of change, interrupting an otherwise calm scene of soft loops with graceful movement. I wanted to make something that felt honest, full of feeling and visual weight, yet still hopeful. It speaks to the strength it takes to pull through a rough spot with grace.

If you're in the Bay Area, I’d love for you to see the work in person! The gallery has a beautiful atmosphere and it’s free to visit. Plus, my painting is available for purchase directly through the gallery.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this path, from mini collectors to commission clients; you’ve helped me grow towards this kind of opportunity. And if you’ve just discovered my work, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

You can explore even more original art on my website soon! I expect to be dropping some of my final minis shortly, and I’m also working on a new cohesive series that I can’t wait to share. I’m curious to see if they speak to you in some new way.

With gratitude,
Jen
